random thoughts

Tonight while the house was quiet after the kids were in bed I did a little tidying up here on my blog. I put on the tea kettle and made myself a cup of tea with honey and then organized all of the recipes I've posted here into a nifty little list on the right side bar. Have you noticed that this blog has turned into a cooking blog lately?! I did skip the menu plan monday this week though. When Scott travels we usually eat leftovers out of the freezer, sandwiches, cereal, cheese and crackers, salads...those kinds of things. I still would like to get my link list updated...there are just so many great blogs out there in bloggityville!

This afternoon the kids and I finished listening to the last CD in the
Chronicles of Narnia radio theatre series. We absolutely loved it! Someday I would love to own the book set and read through them too. They are excellent.

I've been reading The Mitford Series books for awhile now. I take a long time to read books because I usually fall asleep after just a few pages. I'm on the third book in the series and really enjoy the story of Father Tim and the charming town of Mitford. Monica has an ongoing series of posts at her blog based on the books that is fun. I have an extra copy of the first book and would be happy to mail it to the first person who says they would like it! (I can only ship it to someone who lives in the U.S. though. Sorry!)

Darcy,

I would LOVE this book! My niece adores this series and I am trying to get her more of the books! If Im first email me tractors1398@yahoo.com and I will give you my address.:o)
Hope you have a great day; I know how it feels when your husband is traveling. Mine does it every day (leaves the house at 4 am and gets home at 7 or 8 pm)So, I do see him but only for an hour or two a day. :o( But, we gotta make a living! Sounds like you have SO much fun with the kids, though!:o)

Have a Blessed Day!

Julie

Hi Darcy..
So sorry I got Ava and Elle mixed up!! The are both so darn cute :)
I love your recipes so keep them coming! I sure wish I could do the menu plan but things get so topsy turvy around here there's some days I don't have a clue what we're having for dinner until it's practically on the table.

I found these books on tape at my library. The kids and I listened to them in the van. You know it's good when your teenagers can't wait to listen!
