found while cleaning

I am always finding funny little notes that the kids have written when I clean the school/play room. I often save them because they are so cute. I found this one awhile ago after they had played school together. Thomas was the teacher and Elle the student. These were her assignments.

(You can click on the picture to see a large version of it) Here is what it says, just as he wrote it -

'Reading - write a report about the book: Sumertime in the big woods. on the back of this page. You may sit in the bean bag while you do reading.

Bible Study - Memorize over the weekend - I have considerd the days of old, the years of ancite times. Psalm 77:5

Art - Draw a picture to hang on the school bullitin. Do this at the school table.

Thank you!

PS: You are my favorite student!'

It cracked me up that he even had to even tell her where she was to do each assignment. I remember being just like this when I'd play school with my brothers. Bossy firstborns! :) But you have to make whoever you are bossing around feel good enough about what you are telling them to do that they'll keep playing, that's why the 'PS: You are my favorite student!" is too funny!

This one was for some sort of Star Wars Club that Thomas was starting or something.

'I Thomas (club leader) asign Elle to be a club trial memb. x [His signature]

I Thomas ask Elle to be a club member. I will let Elle to be counted into my club. Also if Elle becomes SITH she will be included on top seacrets and plans. She will be on the CLUB ship.

Signiture -
X [Thomas's signature again]

Signiture - in blood - for club
X [Elle's signature]
X [There really is blood on this line!!]'

I had to ask them if it was real blood when I found this and yes, it was. Thomas had got a paper cut so he smeared some blood on that line. :) How lucky that Elle's gets to be a 'trial' member of his club.

That's so cute!! I am such a tosser by nature. I keep a few really special papers but others I put on the fridge for a while and then toss. I need to remember, though, to hang on to some of their little notes and pictures, even the very simple ones!
