science fun
We are using this cirriculum to study the human body this year in science. Right now we are learning about the digestive system. One of the suggested activities was to drink water through a straw upside down to prove that it is not gravity that pulls food into our stomachs but is actually involuntary muscles that do the work. The kids thought this little experiment was pretty funny.
Tomorrow we are making molds of their teeth using modeling clay and plaster of paris. I love this kind of hands on learning! It's fun and really helps them to 'get it' and remember it.
