happy easter

We got a fresh dusting of snow for Easter. I thought the kids looked cute all dressed up and in their boots. :)

The outside Easter egg hunt was pretty easy when all you had to do was follow Daddy's tracks!

This year for the kid's treasure hunt we had them all over the neighborhood finding clues. They enjoyed it and were happy with their treasure of candy, bubbles, sunglasses and a wagon for all of them to share.

Don't they look cool in their shades?!

Dinner this year was Ham, Cheesy Potatoes, Roasted Asparagus, Orange Salad and homemade bread. Dessert was Thomas's request....Peanut Buster Icecream Cake. It's so good but makes you feel like you have to exercise after you eat a piece! So we decided to take the wagon for a spin around the lake.

Ava loved it!

Happy Easter everyone!
Looks like you had great Easter! That Mommy can make it so special with her good cooking and fun treasure hunts! We had a good one too! It snowed each morning a bit at the cabin but the wood stove kept us toasty. The 4 wheeler treasure hunts were fun but a lot of work to set up. Tory is getting quite good at the compass in spite of a few mistakes on Dad and my part in the directions. They had to look in the bible for some of their clues and Hailee had to take the camera around and look at Up-close pictures we took for clues to where her eggs and treasure were. Tory's comment was, "Is that all?" when they found their treasure. Lori had given them quite a bit of the candy last year and she didn't get to come this year so it wasn't as spectacular. Hard for teens to get so excited for the treasure. They like the hunt more, Hailee still likes the treasure best! So much fun! Looking forward to doing it together again sometime! Nice ride you got there Ava!!! And what a handsome crew in the fancy Easter outfits. Thomas does a tux well!!!! Is that tulip from your flower bed already?
Love you all!

Hi Mom and Nicole!

Thanks for the comments! Sounds like you had a fun weekend at the cabin.

I wish that tulip was picked from my garden! We still have snow on the ground and no plants in sight yet. I just picked them up from the grocery store for our Easter table decor.

Hello Darcy,

Your website is absolutely wonderful. I have gotten so many ideas from you and great recipes. I was wondering if you could post the recipe for Peanut Buster Ice cream Cake. I am dying to try that one.

Thank you so much

Looks like ya'll had a wonderful Easter! The kids look really cute. It was 60 degrees and sunny here for Easter but it snowed the weekend before, lol. I bet the treasure hunt was fun! We will have to try that when the kids are a little older.

Have a wonderful week!
