Vikings and Huskers

This year we are going to be studying Early American History. We started learning about Leif Erickson and his father, Erik the Red, this week. Erik the Red was a Viking and I guess I didn't clarify that he wasn't a Minnesota Viking....from the pictures in the book I assumed that you could tell we weren't talking football. So, today I asked Thomas and Elle to tell me everything that they could remember about Erik the Red and the first thing Elle said - "He was a Husker!". :)
