works for me wednesday: laundry room shelf

My hubby built me this nifty shelf for my laundry room. He made it out of scrap wood we had laying around here after we built. The design is pretty clever as it is a hollow box that just rests upon a board that is screwed to the wall. It makes my laundry room that much more functional since I have more working space to place things when I fold clothes, it keeps things from falling behind the washer and dryer but yet it keeps the water and gas controls easily accessible since it can just be pulled away from the wall. It works for me!

Hey - that is a good idea! I bookmarked your blog to come back and take a peek another time. I'm in WI and originally from Duluth. :)

I love this idea. Sure makes the room look nice. I'm not sure how it would work on my w/d, though, because my controls are on the top against the wall too. Hmmm...

Excellent idea - too bad mine are on the top of the machine! Next time then...

What a beautiful laundry room! I love the dark wood color. And what a handy hubby! Great idea for keeping things from falling behind the washer. :)

Great idea ... love your washer and dryer too. Mine still work fine, so no need to replace. =)

My blog template was free. Email me if you want more info and/or help. If I can change it ... anyone can.
