I knew it was getting close to the 2 year mark since I started this blog so I checked it today and it happened to be exactly a year today! Pretty cool! It's fun to be able to look back and have so many great memories documented.
I haven't been posting much lately because we are just busy enjoying these last weeks of summer before school starts. I should've updated to at least let you know that we weren't stung by tons of wasps after my last post! (Oh, and actually they are yellow jacket bees. After Scott saw them he said that they aren't wasps.) Anyway, Scott sprayed an entire can of wasp and hornet killer down the hole that they are flying out of. It foamed up and we thought we'd killed them for sure but unfortunately they are still taking up residence there. I'm going to pick up another can of the spray in town and Scott is going to give it another try.
I've started to harvest a few things out of my little garden. Cherry tomatoes and a couple of jalapeno peppers so far. Bell peppers are growing and my Romas and Early Girl tomatoes seem to be doing well too.
I'm starting to plan for the upcoming school year. Our new math books have arrived and more is on the way. We are planning to start after Labor Day. Elle is ready and wants to start right away, Thomas thinks that the day after Labor Day is too soon. :)
Scott started at his new job a few weeks ago and is enjoying the challenge. I am loving having him home more.
That's a quick update of a few things that have been happening around here lately. :)

Darcy, Glad you guys are enjoying the summer since the warm months are so short for you. Congrats on the two year mark. I hope you plan to continue blogging. I have enjoyed your blog for a little over a year now. That's when I discovered it. I don't comment often but I am a regular lurker. I have also enjoyed several of your recipes. We love the Runzas.
